News that the ploughing trade show and the Virginia Show have been cancelled for this year cannot come as a surprise to anyone. However the sense of disappointment is palpable, as the hopeful return to normality seems to be yet another year away.
The National Ploughing Association has cancelled the 2021 ploughing trade exhibition, but the national ploughing competitions are set to go ahead later in the year.
The committee of the Virginia Show in Cavan, one of the top ag shows in the country, have said that it is not feasible to continue to plan for the event in 2021.
