May was a cool and wet month everywhere with persistent and slow moving troughs of low pressure over Ireland for much of the month.

In Ireland rainfall was above average everywhere, temperature was below average everywhere and sunshine was above average everywhere.
June has been a more variable and upbeat month weatherwise. Although meteorological forecasts of late seem to be less accurate in dealing with all the variability.
