FORAGERS FINED

The City Of London Corporation fined mushroom pickers a total of £2160 this month for picking mushrooms illegally in Epping Forest.

Some foragers were nabbed with hauls of  5kg of fungi, enough to fill several carrier bags.

Some of the fungi end up in restaurants and markets.
