With the talk of animal-free dairy products using dairy protein fermented from DNA-altered fungi, Stalker notes that the Swedish alt-milk brand Oatly plans to open one of the world’s biggest plant-based dairy factories in the UK.
The plant, in Peterborough, will open in 2023, producing up to 450 million litres of oat milk a year, and potentially creating 200 jobs.
