ARE YOU BEING SERVED..?

The opening of the first  UK bricks and mortar outlet of the online giant Amazon has generated a lot of interest.

Some see it as the end of the social interfacing in shops, as the new store has no tills, shoppers can just pick up groceries and walk out.

The store is a branch of Amazon Fresh in Ealing in west London - no doubt there were mushrooms on the shop's shelves.

Stalker recalls the idea that drones will be delivering our fresh produce in the future - but maybe that is a little while off just yet.

However the opening of this store could be seen as the first step towards a new kind of shopping - shops as giant vending machines!
