The Bank of England has said it expects a rapid rebound in the UK economy later this year as the vaccination programme takes effect.
With a slump of 4.2 per cent envisaged in the first quarter of this year, the bank’s economists forecast that GDP will return to pre-pandemic levels by March 2022.
