Some folk have had the good fortune to spend some lockdown time in temperate climes.
One such is our San Francisco based correspondent who happened to wangle 8 weeks in Hawaii over Christmas and New Year - soaking up the rays and watching the world surfing championships.
He also sent this picture as evidence of some mushroom snacks that he chanced upon in the local supermarket.
