Ireland is set to be awarded more than €1billion from the EU as part of the package to offset damage done to markets by Brexit.
The Brexit Adjustment Reserve Fund set up by the European Union is designed to help mitigate the worst effects to EU economies flowing from the new trading relationship between the UK and the EU.
The Irish allocation is nearly a quarter of all funds being paid out of the BARF this year.
