Technical support was offered to anyone considering setting up a mushroom processing facility- “the Department of Agriculture actively supports the development of this sector”. Hauser, International, Darmycel, Sylvan, Euro-Semy and Le Lion were all offering spawns - it was a diverse field. The weather back then in England was gales, blizzards and snow-blocked roads, not unlike this year then.
