The pandemic has seen an upswing in hobby-like activity by peoples all over the continent of Europe.
Foraging for funghi as a pastime is enjoying a revival in Germany and Scandinavia apparently. Wild swimming - basically what we used to call swimming, has taken off all over the continent. Get your dryrobe on to be fully down with the dippers!
Knitting has taken off in Norway, believe it or not. And redecorating holiday cottages is big in Sweden.
We’re all baking more, that’s pretty obvious with the covid waistline expansion. Walking has also gained in popularity - probably to counteract that covid cushion.
Whatever you do to keep occupied, if you have the time to spare, the overarching lesson of the pandemic is to enjoy it. Tempus fugit.
