Watching telly one lazy lockdown Sunday morning - Virgin Media 3’s Ireland A.M. magazine programme to be exact - Stalker chanced upon the cooking segment where Chef Nicola Halloran, from The Wonky Spatula, was making a lovely halloweeny mushroom dish.
Using the innards of the pumpkin that many eschew over the holiday period, she was making a sliced mushroom stew - the recipe was very simple and effective. Adding the mushrooms she said, “you can use button mushrooms, or a variety of different mushrooms, but here I’m just using bog standard mushrooms”.
A new grade of mushroom right there! To be fair, you know what she meant, and the mushroom,pumpkin, coconut milk stew looked delicious
