The National Audit Office in the UK has warned of “significant disruption” at UK ports in the new year because neither border infrastructure nor software for processing customs declarations were ready for the changes involved.
A report by the audit office in mid-November said it was “very unlikely that all traders, industry and third parties will be ready for the end of the transition period.”
Expect disruption seems to be the messaging these days.
