Ibec the employer lobby group in Ireland has asked the government to secure at least €675 million in Irish and EU Brexit support for the food industry in Ireland.
Irish food exports to the UK are currently valued at €4.5 billion.
Ibec says that the food sector faces “ serious economic disruption “ and that the State should assist the food sector with a potential no deal British exit looming.
