It’s not only in England that they are planning for new large lorry parks to hold the overflow from traffic jams caused by Brexit related palaver.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland is planning to convert more than a third of Dublin airport’s Holiday Blue long term car park into a temporary holding facility for heavy goods vehicles as part of Ireland’s Brexit preparations.
They’ve submitted planning to Fingal County council seeking approval to build a temporary parking facility that could cater for up to 250 HGV’s.
Prefabs for office, canteens , toilet and showering facilities are also included in the plan.
