The pound sterling is currently worth €1.09 on the foreign exchange markets.
The slight dip recently in the value of the pound is prompted by the uncertainty surrounding talks over the future trade deal between the UK and the EU. The fact that there was no huge drop in sterling means the markets must believe that a deal is still on.
Many analysts have long predicted that the talks will go down to the wire, and that it is only in the final phase that leaders get together and important red lines can be shifted.
But there is also the potential for everything to go belly-up too.
