STRAW PRICES

The contractors who bale wheaten straw for mushrooms were opening on around €22 per 8x4x4 per bale an increase on last year.

The changeable unseasonal weather has managed to curtail cutting.  

No doubt we’ll hear more on prices as the harvest season comes to an end.
