It would appear that the second wave of Covid which experts were predicting for the autumn has arrived sooner than expected. Upticks in cases in many European nations and in Ireland are seen as worrying. Local lockdowns in Ireland were quickly introduced in counties exhibiting spikes in meat processing plants. It most definitely seems as though the virus likes the conditions in chiller meat packing facilities. Mushroom facilities (as has now been evidenced) would need to be well on their guard too. Once again though it is down to the individual to protect themselves and others by following Covid hygiene protocols as closely as possible. It’s a case of we’re all in this boat together.
