Following the Covid scares in meat packing plants in the past few months more information has emerged from the plants involved in the outbreaks.
The National Public Health emergency Team in Ireland published documents that suggest asymptomatic workers could have been a significant driver of infection in meat plants.
Up to half of those who tested positive were asymptomatic. Stalker read elsewhere that the operating temperature of 4C may also have been a factor in the prevalence of outbreaks in the meat packing industry.
It’s obvious that we’re still on a steep learning curve when it comes to the new coronavirus - playing it safe and taking the utmost precautions seems to be prudent at this time.
