Gardeners should ditch peat compost the RSPB in the UK has said, as new research shows that restoring bog lands could offset one third of all agricultural emissions.
According to the RSPB paper peatlands that are in poor condition could be restored and help lock up 14 million tonnes of CO2e per year.
