FAERIE FUN

The Irish Farmers Journal had some interesting footage this month of a contractor in Starinagh, Co. Meath, out turning the hay.

The contractor, James Bellew filmed  a will o’ the wisp engulfing his tractor for a full ten minutes.

It would have been known as a fairy wind or sí gaoithe in Irish and was believed to have been caused by fairies.

There always seems to be a lot of fairy activity down there in Co. Meath, it’s obviously a very magical place!
