Scientists have re-examined the Great Russian Flu of the 1890s and concluded that it may in fact have been caused by a coronavirus that came from animals.
Just goes to show that the old truism there’s nothing new under the sun holds good even now. One of the salient features of the disease that hit back then was a second and third wave which hit in the subsequent two years.
