Experts at University College London have cited increasing evidence that animals can pass on Covid-19 to humans.
In an article for The Lancet Microbe, they have stated that cats should not be allowed out, and dogs should be kept on a lead.
Concerns follow the culling of 10,000 farmed minks in Holland. The minks passed it on to humans and are thought to have got the disease from cats visiting the mink farm.
Herding cats and keeping them indoors full time seems like a tall order.
And manys the Irish farm and mushroom farm have outdoor cats that are great as rodent eliminators and just keeping vermin at bay.
