The price of a barrel of Brent Crude is standing at around $42. A move upwards from where it was last month. However the oil industry has taken a big hit with the fall in demand due to coronavirus.
BP decided this month to lower it's oil price forecasts for the next three decades. Their view that it would be $75 a barrel on average over that time frame has now been lowered by $20, to $55 a barrel. Is this a sign that the oil age is drawing to a close?
