Scientists have created luminescent plants using mushroom genes.

“They inserted four genes from a bioluminescent mushroom called Neonothopanus nambi into the DNA of tobacco plants.”

It sounds like something someone dreamt up while on the waccy baccy, or the magic mushrooms.

The new bioluminescent plants do have a more serious side with research possibilities.

We truly have though entered the era of science fiction becoming science fact!
