Demand for mushrooms in the retail sector has been very strong over the past weeks. Mushroom sales are reportedly buzzing.
With more people stuck at home during the pandemic lockdown, sales of the fresh produce have held up well.
Some observers were pointing to the lack of seasonal vegetables on the supermarket shelves and wondered if that had prompted increased demand for the mushrooms on offer.
No doubt with the loss of the restaurant sector there were fears that demand would fall, but so far the conditions out there seem favourable to the mushroom sector.
