The black swan event is duly unfolding before our eyes.
The stock markets witnessed their biggest fall since 2008, with trillions wiped off the value of shares on Monday March 9th, now dubbed the new Black Monday.
Monday March 16th was another day dubbed the worst since the original Black Monday. Economists say that the economic fall-out from the covid19 virus will not be totally apparent until the effects feed through over the year, but already we are getting the full blast of economic meltdown.
Nothing is more contagious than fear, but hopefully if calm heads and a scientific approach to the crisis wins out, the fear factor can be contained, even if the virus cannot be.
