Farmers in Cambridgeshire are calling on fast food outlets to print the number plates of patrons cars onto the fast food bags in order to combat litter in the county. One farmer said something has to be done to “stop the constant tide of littering”. “ It’s very dangerous, cattle in particular will eat anything.” Despoiling the countryside is also good enough reason to attempt something that might make the litter bugs stop and think at the very least. It would only work for drive through outlets, but it is a start!
