July was the hottest month ever recorded, globally.
It wasn’t a bad month at all, summer-wise, here in Ireland. But the global outlook makes it all seem a bit more worrisome. It’s hard not to notice that weather forecasters are having a hard time predicting anything much like stable weather.
Changeable seems to be the most frequent description of late. Even though Met offices now have new supercomputers online crunching the calculations, the unpredictable nature of chaotic weather systems seems to be increasing.
More precision, in forecasting computer models, doesn’t necessarily result in more accuracy in the forecasts themselves, it seems.
