Stalker was apprised of a new word in Spanish recently. Having always thought that the word for mushroom in Spanish was ‘champiñón’. Stalker then learnt that a more familiar word for mushroom is seta.
However, in Spanish seta can also mean a person who does not like any kind of activities or social interaction.
Hongo is also another nice word for mushroom in l'espagnol. There’s plenty of scope there to impress the locals with the lingo if on holiday in any Spanish speaking territory.
Just don’t call someone a seta or the response may not be very welcoming!
