We all know that Brexit is having an effect, even as we approach new deadlines for it actually happening. Recently the Governor of the Bank Of England observed that negative Brexit effects are already hitting the UK economy. He could probably include Ireland in that too.
Meanwhile in the North, businesses are blaming Brexit for a sharp drop in export orders. There was a sharp drop in business activity in May in Northern Ireland. Stockpiling previous to the original March 29th exit date, has also compounded problems.
Brexit uncertainty is certainly having an effect on the ground.
