Readers of The Mushroom People down the years have benefitted from the skill of our compositor over the three and a half decades of publication.
Sadly our man who sets up the magazine for printing, Malachy McCrory, passed away at the end of last month.
Malachy was an old school newspaper man, who started out setting the type in the 1950’s at the Dungannon Observer.
Through the years he was a steadying influence on the style of the magazine, and he always had an unerring eye for glaring mistakes.
Malachy was a true friend, a stickler for detail, an exemplary colleague and a true gentleman - he will be sorely missed. Condolences are extended to his wife Eithné, his family and friends.
