Stalker has noted the new method of body disposal using fungal technology. Recently the method was in the news again, as US actor Luke Perry was laid to rest in one such “mushroom suit” according to media reports in the US.
“The mushroom suit Perry was buried in will turn his body into a clean compost,” said a source. “This was a last wish of Perry. In life he was always ecologically-minded.”
Hot on the heels of that was the news that Washington state is on the verge of becoming the first US state to allow humans to be turned into compost, amid a surge in demand for sustainable and positive funeral services.
Proponents of human composting say and environmentally friendly after-death service is badly needed.
