There was good news for six lucky growers from Northern Ireland this month.
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) was this month offering growers the opportunity to travel to the Netherlands and Belgium to learn about innovative management practices in mushroom production.
The tour of European facilities will take place in April, and hopefully those that get to go on the information tour will come back and spread the word of what they have seen.
Sylvan’s Brendan Burns, along with CAFRE advisors Kieran Lavelle and Konstantinos Xyntaris will be guiding the participants on the technology tour.
Let’s hope they learn loads and have a great time on the trip.
