Irish shoppers are more concerned about product packaging than any other nations shoppers according to a survey by PwC.
More than half of consumers are avoiding the use of plastics where possible. Trends in retail shopping are changing due to technological change, economic factors and consumer expectation.
The survey suggest that those retailers and food producers who are cognisant of the changing consumer sentiment will be the ones who will dominate into the future. Compostable packaging is all the rage at the moment, from coffee cups to plastic bags the compostable range is ever-burgeoning.
