So food supplies are at risk from a no deal Brexit according to reports in the papers early in February.
The heads of Sainsbury’s, Asda, M&S, The Co-op and Waitrose have written to the government warning of significant disruption to food supplies in the even of a no-deal Brexit.
They also say that grocery prices are likely to rise, that nearly a third of the UK’s food comes from the EU and would be subject to import tariffs without a trade deal in place.
Project fear or just plain common sense? You can decide.
