Stalker noted that Monaghan Mushrooms got a nice wee plug in the RTE Guide. The guide is probably one of the preeminent magazines in Ireland and Monaghan’s new mushroom range got a prominent promotion in it.
“The new mushrooms range are grown using special lighting and compost so they contain much more vitamin D as well as the essential mineral selenium,” according to the plug. “Both vitamin D and selenium are lacking in the diet of a significant number of Irish people especially in the winter. A 100g portion of these new mushrooms provides over half of the RDa of vitamin D and 100 % of the RDa of selenium, both contributing to a healthy immune system,” the food note continued.
Available in Dunnes Stores, retailing at €2 per pack. A nice wee push for the produce there then!
