The top ten warmest years in the UK have all happened in this century according to the Met Office.
The general trend towards climate warming would correlate with these findings and things are expected to warm up even more.
Although the country did receive 90 percent of its average rainfall last year, which is amazing considering the heatwave and generally dry conditions that were extant for much of the year!
