Bella is a new brown strain from Amycel. Bella is widely used in the U.S. by Monterey Mushrooms.
It is reported to give very heavy, solid mushrooms and is also an excellent yielding strain. Initial reports from Ireland indicate that it is living up to this reputation.
A number of growers are presently trialling the strain. A new high yielding strain would be a welcome addition for brown growers where yields are traditionally less than on white strains.
