Despite the lurking threat of Brexit, the agri-food sector in Ireland grew faster than any other industry during the first three months of this year, according to a survey cited by Food And Drink Business Europe conference in August.
Apparently 18 per cent of agri-food firms reported an increase in staff numbers, with a further 27 per cent planning to take on more employees in the coming year.
Things certainly seem to be moving in a positive direction.
