Speaking of oil, the hurricane season in the US has managed to push the price of oil past the €80 mark.
As the winds wreak havoc on continental USA and islands offshore, it threatens disruption to supply and thus pushes prices up.
With Venezuelan production collapsing due to the crisis in that country and US sanctions in the pipeline still for Iran, we could well be heading to an abrupt spike in oil prices with attendant consequences.
