On the subject of supermarkets, Stalker reads that Tesco is unveiling a new discount chain in Britain to fight back at the likes of Lidl and Aldi. The name of the new stores will be “Jack’s”, named after the Tesco founder Jack Cohen - whose nickname was funnily enough “Slasher Jack”. Stalker wonders if they’ll open any stores in Dublin? If so, does anyone reckon shoppers will be flocking to the Jack’s? Just wondering.According to Kantar Worldpanel Tesco still has the largest share of the Irish supermarket business - a 22.1% share of sales.
