Gardai are investigating the discovery of a magic mushroom cultivation operation in a flat in Dublin, it was reported this month.
There were other chemicals found also which gardai believe were being used to enhance the potency of the mushrooms.
The mushrooms were taken away for analysis, and Garda sources have said that this is probably the only instance of a magic mushroom operation being found in the state. Magic mushrooms are rarely seized by gardai and are regarded as a niche drug.
