After the rain less conditions of late May and June, and the first two weeks of July, finally there was a bit of rain, just in time for St. Swithin's Day.
Of course the old weather lore states that if it rains on this day then it will rain for forty days and forty nights.
Farmers up and down the country would appreciate some of that precipitation for sure!
