Simon Coveney the Irish Tanaiste confirmed to media in July that preparations have begun for increased customs arrangements between Ireland and the UK.
Hundreds of new customs officials are needed and some infrastructure to manage the customs arrangements that will exist post Brexit, either with or without a deal.
With all the hullabaloo around the Trump visit to the UK, and attendant Brexit furore, one might have missed that the EU has also instructed all its members to beef up preparations for a no deal scenario.
As we approach closer to the point of no return we can expect that levels of near hysteria will be reached, in both the political and media realms.
