Last month was the warmest May in the UK  since records began more than 100 years ago, the Met Office has said.

The Met Office said spring 2018, which ran from March to May, had been "very dynamic with many fluctuations".

With a highest temperature in Ireland recorded at Shannon airport of 26.3C it was a May to remember.

June has recorded a 32C at Shannon on Thursday 28th June - and it may go higher.

Castlederg in Co.Tyrone recorded 30C on Friday June 29th.
