Stalker loved a wee snippet on making the perfect fry. You’d suspect that most folk know rightly how to do a fry up, but now some journalist has to go and tell you how.
Here’s how apparently: “It’s all about timing with this one. Cook the bacon and the sausages in a frying pan first, then keep them warm on a plate in a low oven. Use the same pan to fry the mushrooms until all the liquid boils away and they start to brown. Add the tomatoes, cut side down, and cook until caramelising. Add the tomatoes and mushroom to the bacon plate and finally cook the eggs.”
Hey presto, a fry - call it the Full English, the Full Irish or the Ulster Fry - whatever you call it - enjoy.
