An American restaurateur has spent €35,000 for a rare 1kg white truffle from Italy. This has set a new record for one of these exotic mushrooms.

Joe Pytka from California bought the fungus at an annual charity auction. All in all 30 truffles were auctioned off for a total of €126,000!
