Stalker noted in the Biz that Hooymans Compost is now Hooymans Substrates. There’s a new website to be launched soon, but the company can still be found online at hooymanscompost.nl/en/.
In another change of name the Biz reported that Topterra Holland is changing to Legro Mushroom Casing Solutions. Stalker was struck by the photograph with the item, showing the casing yard with barges sidled up to it, shifting the precious casing soils by waterways. Also the yard seemed to be in an urban area.
When one thinks of the equivalent Irish casing companies, which are situated in rural areas, the contrast could not be more stark. It reminds one that The Netherlands is one of the most densely populated places on the planet. And how lucky are we to have such space about us.
