Looking at the January 1988 edition of the magazine Stalker was amused by the item on cooking mushrooms in the microwave.
A leaflet by the MGA was discussed, in which it stated that “22 percent of households now have microwaves and mushrooms are one of the quickest and easiest to cook in the microwave.”
With articles on dry bubble and cobweb disease, there was plenty to read in the issue, along with Stalker notes about kisso-gram- boys at the Drumsill Hotel, and a Northern contingent heading out to the 7th North American Mushroom Conference in New Orleans. Ah the good old days..
