Stalker was amused by a few news items in early January on the planting of forests. There is apparently to be a new Great Northern Forest planted in the north of England - up to 50 million trees no less. It all sounds very impressive, and eco-friendly.
Then there was the news that China was going to plant a new forest also. This one in China however is to be planted over an area the size of the island of Ireland. Now that is quite jaw dropping news. The Chinese sure have a way of doing things that simply eclipse other countries.
No doubt there’ll be plenty of foraging opportunities in both the new woodlands.
